Values and Morality

One of the things I find the most fascinating about the HP books is how there are positive qualities in most of the evil characters and negative qualities in most of the good characters. The black/whites she's set up (like with the Durselys) seem set to topple over - witness Petunia's reactions in the beginning of book five.

The other thing I find the most fascinating is how strong the Harry point of view is. It really colors every book, but she puts hints as to people's real opinions and points of view in among the drabble of Harry's opinions of everyone - as well as illustrating clearly when Harry's opinions begin to be destroyed or changed (such as with his image of his father and Severus in the Pensive).
